2007 - Courts 17 & 18

Court 15 was built for a professional tennis tournament, which included Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova. This tournament was before there was a ladies professional's tour. Virginia Slims was the first ladies tennis tour. You can see the bleachers in the 1973 postcard.

We later added 20 feet to one side and 40 feet to the other side of court 15 and moved the net posts to create 15 & 16. This was not the best court construction project, because tennis courts are supposed to slope to drain water those additions were added flat. 15 & 16 are more difficult for us to maintain because of their history.
